Three Things Together

And there’s not much connecting these three things… except that they’re all linked to the Cleveland market…

ENVISION THIS: Beachwood-based Envision Radio Networks has unveiled its new website.

The local radio syndicator turned to the folks at Single Source Marketing for the redesign. Quoting the Envision release:

The new site incorporates a number of new elements, including conservative use of the latest Flash and RSS technologies for a web presentation of Envision’s shows and services that is impressively slick without overwhelming the end-user. Among the new additions: An interactive map on the contact page; streaming program demos; and updated pages are available for all of Envision’s shows and services.

The result, says Envision president/CEO Danno Wolkoff:

“As a result, the Envision Team is better connected to affiliates and new leads so we can respond faster and more efficiently to their needs.”

You can connect to the new Envision site at: envisionradio.com

A-B-C-T-K: Speaking of connecting, another local syndicated radio presence is connecting with a big company.

AllAccess reports that self-syndicated oldies host Tom Kent – as last we heard, doing his national shows from his basement in Brecksville – has signed a deal with ABC Radio Networks which will start on February 2nd. Quoting:

KENT’s syndicated offerings consist of his live daily show weeknights 7-midnight ET, “THE ULTIMATE PARTY” on SATURDAY evenings, and “MY 70S SHOW” on SUNDAYS. ABC will handle affiliate relations and distribution for the TOM KENT RADIO NETWORK.

After splitting with his former network – TKO – a couple of years ago, the local radio veteran started his own network last March.

We wish him and his radio empire great success…it’s good to see Northeast Ohioans doing well on the national stage…

AND SPEAKING OF SYNDICATED LOCAL FOLK: Former Cleveland radio personality Danny Wright is officially “on the loose”, after the Dial Global folks cancelled his long-running “Danny Wright All Night” country overnight show after a seven year run. Dial Global made the move after buying Jones Radio Networks, which launched the show.

The former WGAR/99.5 and WGCL “G98” star is putting out the word for those looking for his services, via an AllAccess item today.

Though we haven’t talked with Danny regularly, we can assume he’s still an OMW reader…so if he’d like to check in here and talk with folks in his former home market in more detail, we’ll be happy to oblige.

Danny tells AllAccess that he can be reached at: GoodBuddy – at – AOL.com… we don’t link directly to E-Mail addresses here due to spam harvesting concerns, but that’s an easy enough address to put in yourself.

“Danny Wright All Night”‘s biggest affiliate around these parts was Elyria-Lorain Broadcasting country WKFM/96.1 “K96” in Huron, the Sandusky area country mainstay which can be heard in western parts of the Cleveland market.

We don’t know what “K96” has put in Danny’s place…
